Radio Host, Author, Playwright

KELLE' AVENT is a native Baltimorean raised by grandparents from the age of 10 months. She is more than a survivor! Faced with many trials as a result of her parents’ addiction to drugs throughout her childhood, she chose to rely on faith to fuel her future. A 2006 graduate with honors from Delaware State University, Kelle’ has received the opportunity to work in many industries including: radio, film, theater, and fashion designing to name a few, earning many honors. However, her most prized honors are personal: as a wife to Carlos, mother to Lyric and mentor. Kelle’ mentors teen girls and young women, challenging them to overcome the worst, encouraging to obtain the best, and igniting them to accomplish it all through faith.

In November 2013, Kelle' re-connected with her first love, RADIO, accepting position as Host, of The Gospel Grace Morning Show on WEAA 88.9FM in her hometown of Baltimore, MD. Kelle' can be heard on Gospel Grace each Sunday from 7-10AM alongside co-host, Ryan Turner. The show can also be heard nationally via apps Tune In and NPR as well as through live stream at weaa.org. Previous radio gigs include Kiss 102.7(Los Angeles), WJKS Kiss 101.7FM (DE), WFAI Faith 1510(South Jersey), WRBS 95.1 (MD), Heaven 600 (MD), WDSU (Dover), Voice Of Empowerment (Online).

Also in 2013, Kelle’ became the author of her first "self-help" book titled: MAKES ME WANNA HOLLA, a read for teen girls and women. This book, discuss’ topics that are commonly experienced and often gone without discussion such as rejection, low self worth, and forgiveness. Makes Me Wanna Holla is Kelle’s heartbeat because it speaks to the needs of girls and women whom she's often released to inspire. Her "GOD sisters" as she likes to refer to them, have been inspiration throughout the years in pushing her to complete the book, initially started in 2007. This work is a reflection of her commitment to the fulfillment of the destiny established before her natural existence.

In March 2014, Kelle' Avent gave birth to a vision first recognized in 2009. She produced the first of a quarterly series titled: "The JOURNALOGUES!" This night of theatre features 5-6 individuals sharing their stories in the form of monlogues with intent to provide release, closure, healing and unity for all. The first, "Her Story Is My Story, Our Story Is Their Story," was a great success with standing room only also demonstrating a night of healing, empowerment, transformation and release. The JOURNALOGUES is an event that's all encompassing, embracing multiple classifications of people including men, women, teens and couples. It is Kelle's vision that the The JOURNALOGUES be embraced across the world as she believes when people are healed, the world is healed.
